Commander Bio

Maximilian von Spee (1861–1914) was an admiral of the German Imperial Navy and commander of the East Asia Squadron, regarded as one of Germany's most respected naval officers of his era. Renowned for his tactical skill and command leadership at sea, he led German naval forces during World War I's Battle of the Falkland Islands (1914), where he demonstrated the aggressive tactics that defined his career before his death in battle.
