Commander Bio

Angelo Iachino (1889–1976) was an admiral of the Regia Marina and one of Italy's most accomplished naval commanders. During World War II, he led Italian naval forces through major Mediterranean operations, most notably commanding the fleet at the Battle of Cape Matapan in 1941. Known for his aggressive tactics and unwavering dedication to duty, Iachino remained a central and respected figure in Italian naval history.
